“I have no idea to this day what those two Italian ladies were singing about. Truth is, I don’t want to know. Some things are best left unsaid. I’d like to think they were singing about something so beautiful, it can’t be expressed in words, and makes your heart ache because of it. I tell you, those voices soared higher and farther than anybody in a gray place dares to dream. It was like some beautiful bird flapped into our drab little cage and made those walls dissolve away, and for the briefest of moments, every last man in Shawshank felt free.”
after many lies and much confusion, i am officially a buckeye! i have now declared my major to be pre-nursing. next step will be applying for the nursing program this coming winter, actually it will be passing my chemistry final on wednesday, but you get the point.

“Around me as I walked were dogs barking in resentment
against the coming of the unforeseen.” -Wendell Berry, “Santa Clara Valley”
There’s nothing to do here
Some just whine and complain
In bed in the hospital
Coming and going
Asleep and awake
In bed at the hospital
Tell me the story
Of how you ended up here
I’ve heard it all in the hospital
Nothing’s sufficing
Doctors on tour
Somewhere in india
I’ve got one friend
Laying across form me
I did not choose him
He did not choose me
We’ve got no chance of recovery
Joy and hospital
Joy and misery
Joy and misery
Joy and misery
Put out the fire boys
Don’t stop don’t stop
Put out the fire on us
Put out the fire boys
Don’t stop don’t stop
Put out the fire on us
Bring the buckets by the dozens
Bring your nieces and your cousins
Come put out the fire on us
